THE 2018 SEASON

4 tickets that may be used in a variety of ways; see 4 different shows; use all 4 to see one show; or any combination in between.  Please bring your "Season Ticket" the first time you visit the box office at our theater to receive the 4 separate tickets. Ticket prices in 2018: $35 general; $30 senior (ages 65+); $20 for full-time student and military (active/veteran/retired); anyone ages 12 and under free. 

For the $90 Season Ticket price, purchase must be by March 31.  From April 1 to June 30, the price is $100.    

March 16-17: Sherlock Holmes Adventure of the Speckled Band It’s a race against time for Holmes and Watson to stop murders in a country manor. Performed “radio-style” with live sound effects and commercials, it’s based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s story, adapted by Craig Wichman. The script received the National Federation of Community Broadcasters’ “Gold Reel” for Radio Drama Award.

May 16-26 at 8:00 (Wed.-Sat.) A Year in the Trenches Meet Charles Edward Dilkes (1887-1968), poet Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918), nurse Amabel Roberts (1891-1918), and other Americans who served during World War I, 100 years ago. Written by James Rana, it’s based on Dilkes’ book Remembering World War I: An Engineer’s Diary of the War, and other historical sources.  

June 13-July 21 at 8:30 (Wed.-Sat,, except no show on Wed. July 4 and a show on Sun. July 8): On the Sunny Side of the Street, a musical revue featuring the lyrics of Dorothy Fields, who worked with major composers including Jerome Kern. Charles Gilbert, who was the musical director and accompanist for ELTC’s Rodgers’ Romance, is once more working with ELTC.    

July 25-Sept. 1 at 8:00 (Wed.-Sat.): Arsenic and Old Lace, the 1941 comedy by Joseph Kesselring, in which two charming sisters populate their cellar with the remains of “acceptable” lodgers, their brother thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and their nephews have their own reasons for visiting them in Brooklyn.  

Sept. 19-Oct. 13 at 8:00 (Wed.-Sat. except no show on Wed. Oct 3 and a show on Sun., Oct. 7 at 7:30; a 2:00 show on Wed. Oct. 10 with no evening show.): Silent Sky (NJ Premiere) by Lauren Gunderson, is the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, an astronomer in the early 1900s who attempts to measure the light and distance of stars, as she tries to balance earthly obligations. This was an era of immense scientific discoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them.   

Oct. 26-27 and Nov. 2-3 at 8:00: Sherlock Holmes Adventure of the Speckled Band

Nov. 23, 24, Dec. 2, 6, 7, 8 at 8:00, with a 2:00 matinee on Saturday Dec. 8:  O. Henry’s Christmas Tales adapted and performed by Gayle Stahlhuth, who brings to life thirty-plus characters in her memorized, unique tour-de-force style.
